Overview
AL is a New York-based creative technologist, engineer, and interdisciplinary artist whose work navigates the friction between ecological systems, human-made infrastructure, and speculative futures. With a background in product development and digital advertising, AL critiques the manufactured world using tools of its own making—wielding code, circuitry, bacteria, and detritus as materials for radical storytelling.

Her practice is deeply research-driven and materially experimental. From cyanotypes developed on eggshells to living bacterial images, AL’s installations probe the illusion of control and permanence in a world defined by entropy and adaptation. Her work invites viewers to examine the invisible systems—microbial, digital, social—that structure life and decay.

AL has shown work at Look Listen Gallery and Fleisher Art Memorial, and her writing and visual pieces have appeared in Collide Zine Philly, North Avenue Review, and Pigeons Rising. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Integrated Design and Media at NYU while conducting research at the intersection of the internet, resilience, and ecology.
