Overview
Jorge Olivo is a multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn whose work fuses painting, animation, collage, and projection into layered, shapeshifting forms. His practice explores the tension between sacred and disposable, analog and digital, real and imagined. Rooted in ritual, queerness, and diasporic experience, Olivo’s work unfolds through distortion, feedback, and fragmentation—embracing the beauty of brokenness in a collapsing culture. Through cycles of corruption and transformation, he builds immersive visual languages that shimmer with both mysticism and glitch.
