Overview
Noam Oster (b. 2003) is an American photographer whose work exists between street photography and intimate portraiture. Splitting his time between New York and London, Oster captures fleeting, emotionally resonant moments in public life with documentary precision and poetic restraint. His images are often printed by hand in the darkroom, reinforcing his commitment to craft and process.

Oster’s practice is rooted in observation but guided by deeper narrative impulses. Influenced by his grandmother’s belief that art should be both beautiful and politically aware, he creates images that linger on the tension between vulnerability and resilience. His work avoids spectacle, instead offering a nuanced gaze into the fragility and complexity of everyday experience.
